St Deiniol's Library, Welsh borders

This years course will take place at St. Deiniol's Library, in Hawarden, Flintshire.

St. Deiniol’s Library is more than just a library, it is a unique institution, in that it is Britain's only residential library. It was founded by the great Victorian statesman, William Ewart Gladstone. there is also an exhibition on the life and work of William Ewart Gladstone.

Bill took his MA students to the library, and has wanted to return with a course ever since.

St. Deniol's has a wonderful relaxing atmosphere, 2 minutes walk away is the village with local pubs and beautiful walks around the castle.

You can find out more about St. Deiniol's by going to their web site, however the information is for 2007, their current rates are double the ones quoted. They are currently updating their site http://www.st-deiniols.com/
